Mavizen - Electric Sport Bikes
Look through the site - it has specs, parts and a racing schedule. The weird thing is that the rider who tested the bike heard nothing but wind... apparently they have installed a horn on the bike for honking when they come into the pit area.
Doesn't sound like a very exciting race without the bike noise.

Identity Crisis
Here is an example of an rendering that has too many directions. First it started life as a Camaro. Then it clearly rocks the Firebird theme, which makes it a Pontiac. Lastly, the ITB sticking out from the hood hints on a V10 motors.. Viper???

How much lower?!?!
There's a reason why the VW mega-culture still prefer the smaller diameter wheels over the DUB scene.. and that is creating the ultimate low stance. Let's look at the facts, 17" inch wheel is automatically 2" lower than rolling a 19". Plus the suspension geometry automatically pulls more negative camber when slammed, thus gives a very low body line.
This Phat-ASS IS300 example was sourced from Canibeat and is rocking staggered 17x9.5 "OG" BBS RS wheels front/rear.
Good job kid!

Imposter - Saab 9-2X
Many already know Saab cut a deal with Subaru to use their WRX platform for a test market which Saab dropped a year into. The 9-2X was literally a luxury re-branded version of the regular plastic WRX. That's it.
So if you are in the market for the ever-popular WRX, why not look for the super-rare Saab version. All performance modifications carry over without any problems. If you can find one, consider yourself gifted.

Plaid Desgined
With vinyl becoming more available for automotive uses, ppl are finally trying other design patterns besides the usual carbon finish. Vinyl comes in many different colors and already finished designed including reflective and or translucent finished. But, if you really want to be the one and only, you can always print your vector file directly onto vinyl and be the fresh kid on the block.
This opens the doors wide to any interpretations you can concoct in your heads. Solid colors are a thing of pass and more ppl are branching out to other untouched areas. So let your creative juices flow.. the sky's the limit.
Besides, who cares what the next brotha will think or say.. build a car and build it for yourself.
Peace.

Giraffe Attack!!!
Everybody should know this car after Wekfest 2010.. this is the Giraffe-Attack by our good friend Guillermo from SoCal. From the looks of things, the "Giraffe-Infection" has spread like a teenage pimple.
I think in the sea of "less-is-more" mentality, Guillermo's IS300 surely stands out from the crowd. Yes, the wheel/tire combo is very extreme.. but he actually drives in Socal streets on full coilovers. You cannot bash that!
I would invest in some fender flares and call it a day. Think about it G-man!!

Sweet A$$
Nice stance without going too extreme. Just a quick pull and lots of lower control arm adjustments. US build.
Why Japan VIP does it better
How are the Japan built VIP cars that low to the ground..?
Do they have specific shorter coilovers, adjustable control arms, and more suspension tweaks..? The answer is yes, but there is one huge illusion the US have barely begun to explore.
That is Radius fenders.
The US builders stress on wheel sizes and offsets. People share wheel specs on blogs and forums so others can rock the same look. But instead of calculating on how to make the wheel fit the body... why not make the body fit the wheel...
That is where Japan outshines the US. Builders in Japan order the wheel sizes and tire combo they want to run. Once they have that, then they will do exterior surgery to make the wheel/tire combo work on that body. Surely it is not for the armature in the home garage. Radius fender work requires cutting and welding knowledge. Followed by paint and body work.
Speaking to a good friend in Japan, on average it will take 1 whole month to do radius fenders on just 1 car. The cost will be upwards of $10k US.
This process is truly the art-form of creating that Perfect-Stance.
IMHO, it is just a smarter way of thinking. You can rock a 20x11 on a gen2 GS without fender mods, but the lip size is pitiful. Looking at the silver GS, how was this builder able to achieve that amount of lipage and yet still be right at the fender line.. Radius fenders.
How is this achieved?
You will create a new fender arch typically 2-3" inch higher into the body. That means cutting parallel slats to the fender, pull, trim and weld back filler pieces usually in many triangle pieces. This is master metal craftsmanship at its best. No bogus glass/bondo here.
All the top builders are highly trained in metal fabrication. One of the first skills they will learn is working with custom Radius Fenders.

Notice the first step is to have the set of wheels/tires ready. Then front fenders come off. Clearly, this example is way more extreme, where as the builder has cut off a significant section of the rear quarter panel to expose where the rear tires will have clearance. Many times, an extreme Radius Fender will effect the rear door jams. More metal would have to be cut and custom fabrication will be need for the extreme drop.
On the white LS430, clearly a custom fender flares have been formed on the rear and front to accompany more extreme wheel/tire combos.
This will be the next level of VIP tuning here in the US.

Collector Car Appreciation Day Approved by Senate
The Resolution, sponsored by Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) and Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) was approved by unanimous consent (all Members of the Senate approved) and officially recognizes “that the collection and restoration of historic and classic cars is an important part of preserving the technological achievements and cultural heritage of the United States .” We are greatly appreciative of Senator Tester’s and Senator Burr’s public acknowledgement of our hobby through this important Resolution.

JOB Design introduced Neo Teny
Let's see what JO can do with exotics. I for one think this will be his biggest challenge in the tuner world. But of all the brands, he is the only one that is truly hands on similar to all the great designers (Foose, Boyd, Fesler)
Good luck!
